Meet some of our growth and operations leadership team and hear what inspires them to work at Upstream Rehabilitation.

Krisi Probert, Executive Vice President, Operations Excellence

I’m Krisi Probert, Executive Vice President of Operations Excellence for Upstream. I’ve been with the Upstream family for 22 years. I started as an occupational therapist and a certified hand therapist, but really I’m an educator at heart, so I went on to receive a Doctorate in Adult Learning, and then a post-grad certification in business analytics. I have authored textbooks, published white papers, and traveled the country to speak at conferences across multiple industries.

My role at Upstream Rehabilitation is working with clinical teams to create, analyze, and execute strategies to operate effective, efficient, and financially successful clinics. On a personal note, I’m a wife, mother, grandmother, hiker, beekeeper, winemaker, canner, and my husband and I raise chickens on our little farm in Jefferson, Georgia.

I am most proud of upstream’s ability to leverage technology and processes that allow our therapists to deliver world-class care. We have a deep investment in the experience of our clinicians and supporting departments to create a safe, healthy, thriving company, that goes above and beyond to serve our communities.

Jennie Hobbs, SVP of Human Resources

I’m Jennie Hobbs, Senior Vice President of Human Resources. I have more than 25 years of experience in HR working at such companies as US Express and Life Care Centers of America. I received my undergraduate degree in 1984 from Baylor University and my Masters of Adult Education from the University of Central Oklahoma. My education helped me better understand people and shaped how I think and process things. It has been a solid foundation I’ve built upon in my HR career, especially the importance of training and education for adults. I believe it is the most important thing that drives change.

I’ve been with Upstream since 2014. During this time, I’ve witnessed a lot of positive changes and tremendous growth. I’ve had the opportunity to work with amazing teammates and watch the company grow from 3,000 to more than 8,000 associates. In my position as Senior VP of Human Resources, I am passionate about performance management, talent development, executive managerial coaching, and full-cycle recruitment. On a personal note, I am a lover of all things, but especially family, unsweet tea, walking, and listening to audiobooks.

My goal is to help people be the best that they can be, and that’s what I strive for in my job at Upstream. All these things fuel me to live every day to the fullest. Life at Upstream is great! I’m proud to be working for a company that is constantly improving. Striving for excellence has become a staple in our culture. We are always working to improve our processes. I’m proud that our company’s vision is to become the employer of choice in the industry. This in turn, helps us become the provider of choice. So we can offer outstanding quality care to our patients every day.

Lisa Dombro, Chief of Strategic Growth

I’m Lisa Dombro, I joined Upstream Rehabilitation in March 2022 to fuel the organization’s growth strategies through innovative data-driven partnerships, service line expansion opportunities, and engagement with health plans. Recently, I began overseeing the corporate development, sales, and marketing teams, which essentially rounds out our strategic growth capabilities. I have worked to make the healthcare system better for the last 30 years in multiple specialty areas including neurosurgery, neurology, orthopedics, and nephrology.

I have developed growth strategies for industry-leading companies such as Agilon Health, Surgical Care Affiliates, and Fresenius Medical Care, and have collaborated with specialists, primary care physicians, and payers, and other stakeholders to advance the value-based care movement. In addition to my role at Upstream, I also sit on the board of two other healthcare companies. One dedicated to rural health and another focused on innovative senior care.

Personally, I’m a mom of two college-age sons, who my husband and I raised in the same hometown I grew up in. We are a sports-oriented family and especially enjoy outdoor activities. I am an exercise enthusiast and enjoy playing all types of racket sports, as well as downhill skiing. My happy place is in the mountains.

I am inspired by the opportunity to work for the leading provider of outpatient physical and occupational therapy services. By using new technologies, outcome-driven programs, and broadening the role of physical rehabilitation services, we can create outsize value for our patients, referring physicians and health systems, and our communities overall. I believe the work we are doing today at Upstream will help lead to the sustainability of our healthcare system in the future.
