Each year, thousands come together to attend the largest physical therapy conference hosted by the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) for the CSM (Combined Sections Meeting). This event is the largest physical therapy conference in the United States and attracts physical therapists, physical therapist assistants, students, and researchers. The conference features educational sessions, hands-on workshops, poster presentations, and a large exposition hall that features the latest products, services, and organizations in the PT industry.

One of the great things about the APTA CSM is that it provides an opportunity for physical therapy professionals of all experience levels to come together to learn more about recent research, clinical advances, earn continuing education credits, and network with other industry professionals.

Upstream Rehabilitation and our family of brands were able to attend CSM this year and connect with many great attendees throughout the event and at our booth who are just as excited and driven to provide quality care to patients as we are. Take a look at some of the many highlights we shared at CSM and see why you should pursue a career with Upstream Rehabilitation!

CSM Highlights

At CSM, we had the opportunity to feature two associates and their research posters. Misty Seidenburg presented a poster on Maximizing Recovery in the Postpartum Period: A Timeline for Return to Sport and Ashlie Crewe had the opportunity to present An Exploratory Study on the Barriers to Pelvic Health Knowledge in Rehabilitation Clinicians and Students. Upstream Rehabilitation also featured an APTA Leader Scholars Program Graduate at the APTA Pavilion.

Upstream Rehabilitation also featured award winners at the event. The Rose Excellence in Research Award featured Elizabeth Lane, the previous URI Orthopedic PT Residency Director and faculty member and author Daniel Maddox, the current OMPT Fellowship Director. In addition, Upstream Rehabilitation sponsored the Diversity Gala.

In addition to some of the highlights above, our team got to connect with professionals from all across the nation to share what makes Upstream Rehabilitation and leading organization.
